Kanta Dihal is a Research Assistant working on the “Impact of AI” project, where she explores the public understanding of AI as constructed by fictional and nonfictional narratives. She is also collaborating on the AI Narratives project. Kanta’s research intersects the fields of science communication, literature and science, and science fiction. Having completed two undergraduate degrees and a research master’s at Leiden University, she is about to finish her DPhil at the University of Oxford. In her thesis, titled The Stories of Quantum Physics, she investigates the communication of quantum physics to adults, children, and even babies. She is the Literature Editor for The Oxford Culture Review and writes about her research on her personal website.
