Ryan Burnell

Biography

Ryan Burnell is a psychology researcher based at CFI's Imperial spoke. His current work investigates how intelligent technologies affect people’s well-being through the support, or frustration, of psychological needs. The aim of this research is to develop tools and guidelines that can improve the design of intelligent systems. Ryan is also completing his PhD in cognitive psychology at the University of Waikato. His PhD research investigated the ways in which people’s autobiographical memories affect their thinking and behaviour in helpful and harmful ways.
