Our mission at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) is to build a new interdisciplinary community of researchers, with strong links to technologists and the policy world. Our staff have gone on to secure tenure and other positions at institutions including the University of Toronto, the University of Glasgow, the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford.

Research Assistant (Fixed Term)

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the team at The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) to work on a two-year project in collaboration with Accenture entitled 'Aligning assessment of cognitive abilities in cutting edge AI and those required in human employees'. The main objective of the project is to establish a pathway of translation between cognitively meaningful evaluations of AI capabilities the cognitive requirements of specific tasks and roles within the workforce, to help us to understand which roles really are in danger of becoming automated with the increasing sophistication of AI, and where AI may be of use to augment human endeavours. The work will draw from multiple disciplines, but primarily from computer science, psycholinguistics and animal and developmental psychology.

The appointment will be for 24 months in the first instance and is based in Cambridge.
