Our mission at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) is to build a new interdisciplinary community of researchers, with strong links to technologists and the policy world. Our staff have gone on to secure tenure and other positions at institutions including the University of Toronto, the University of Glasgow, the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford.

Assistant Professorships in the Ethics of AI, Data and Algorithms

The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) seeks to appoint two Assistant Professors (formally known as University Lecturers) in the Ethics of AI, Data and Algorithms. The purpose of these posts is broadly threefold: i) to contribute to CFI's expanding teaching programme; ii) to conduct world-leading, impactful research in topics relevant to CFI's mission; and iii) to contribute to the development of CFI. In particular, a crucial task of these posts will be to deliver CFI's new MPhil in the Ethics of AI, Data and Algorithms.

Postgraduate Coordinator

We are appointing a Postgraduate Coordinator to join our friendly team of teaching, research and support staff. The role holder will provide full administrative support for the postgraduate programme at LCFI.  In the first year, this will involve providing support for the planning of the new MPhil in the Ethics of AI, Data and Algorithms and managing the admissions procedure and funding applications. Once the new MPhil launches in October 2023, the role will involve working closely with Course Director(s) to ensure the course is delivered effectively, supporting the centre's community of visiting and associate PhD students, and involvment in the development and delivery of new postgraduate courses in the Centre.
