On February 19, 2020, the European Commission published its White Paper on Artificial Intelligence and launched a public consultation. We welcome the European Commission’s effort to create an ecosystem of trust to ensure trustworthy, safe and beneficial uses of AI.
Researchers from both the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence and the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk --including Haydn Belfield, José Hernández-Orallo, Seán Ó hÉigeartaigh, Matthijs M. Maas, Alexa Hagerty, and Jess Whittlestone -- have submitted a response to the Commission.
