Following a partner workshop with The Alan Turing Institute, the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence and the Royal Academy of Engineering held in Autumn 2018, The Royal Society has now published the resulting report: Moving from Data Governance Principles to Practice: Auto Insurance.
A summary by CFI's Programme Director, Dr Adrian Weller, the workshop Chair, and Dr Mahlet Zimeta, Senior Policy Advisor at the Royal Society is available here. The piece reflects on the launch of the Law Commission's public consultation on the regulatory framework for the safe deployment of autonomous vehicles in the UK, and on the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation's (CDEI) publication of its first series of Snapshot papers focusing on the ethical implication of new and emerging AI technology.
