CFI researchers will tackle data privacy and discrimination at techUK's annual Digital Ethics Summit this month.
This year's techUK Digital Ethics Summit will take place virtually on the afternoon of 9 December and the morning of 10 December. The Summit is free to attend and will feature Programme Director Adrian Weller and Senior Research Fellow Kanta Dihal.
Dr Weller will join a panel entitled "Reflections on data privacy and governance in 2020" while Dr Dihal will address "Data and technology and the fight against systemic discrimination".
Other speakers will include The Rt Hon John Whittingdale OBE MP, Minister of State for Media and Data, and Elizabeth Denham, UK Information Commissioner.
Across both days, breakout sessions will delve into a wide range of important issues including privacy, fairness, data quality, sustainability, democracy, and post-COVID recovery.
