Niharika is visiting student from the VU Amsterdam/University of Amsterdam where she is pursuing a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence. She has completed a degree in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience at Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
In her professional career she has worked at the intersection of these two fields. Typically, her experience has been in the medical sector where she has applied her technical skills to improve the state-of-art medical devices. One of her most prominent works has been in at Utrecht Medical Centre where she was working on a brain-computer interface project.
Given her interest in the societal impact of AI, Niharika has joined LCFI to start researching more philosophical questions that are tied into ethical consideration of AI systems. To pursue this interest, she has been given the support of Dutch scholarship funds to come and study here in Cambridge.
