Representing and Intervening: AI ethics meets philosophy of science

June 26, 2019

With the rise of Big Data and associated machine learning technologies, there has been a surge of interest in ethical issues raised by AI. At the same time, philosophers of science have investigated both the limits and applications of AI. The aim of this workshop, kindly supported by the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence and the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, is to bring these perspectives together by investigating key themes in AI ethics through the lens of philosophy of science.
