BIOGRAPHY

Stephen John is the Hatton Lecturer in the Philosophy of Public Health at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, Cambridge. He works mainly on topics at the intersection of philosophy of science, ethical theory and public health policy. He has a particular interest in the proper role of nonepistemic values in scientific decision making.
