BIOGRAPHY
Wout Schellaert is a PhD student at the Universitat Politècnica de València. His doctoral research is focused on the anticipation of AI capabilities, with his broader interests covering the evaluation of intelligence, autonomous agents, and the philosophy of cognition. He serves as an advisor on AI evaluation for various companies and policy-making bodies, and his research has been published in venues such as Science, JAIR, and AAAI. Wout collaborates with the LCFI on the RECOG-AI, AnimalAI, and Kinds of Intelligence projects, while his doctoral research ties in closely with the Futures and Foresight theme. He obtained a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Ghent University, Belgium.
